The Do's and Don'ts of Shine
Something as simple as the sheen of your paint can affect the look and feel of a room. Eggshell or stain seems to be the default for most walls and semi-gloss or gloss for trim. There is nothing wrong with those choices, but why not try something new and different?
Consider a deep forest green gloss in your study, creating a more formal feel to the room. Gloss trim in white is a great choice, but what about light satin trim on a deep gloss wall creating patterns that pop in the room. Most people use ceiling white in a room, which creates an open feel to the space. Why not consider a vibrant ceiling in satin with a color that continues down the wall, creating an entirely different atmosphere.
This all might sound scary and out of the box, but we can talk you through some new ideas. If you like them, we can give them a shot. Paint is not scary, and it’s not forever. Why not trying something new?
